Jakarta Closes 3 Roads during JIS Countries Launching
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Jakarta Transportation Responsibility will implement traffic restrictions during the grand launching of Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Sunday, July 24, 2022. It will start from 14:00 pending 21.00 at Jalan Sunter Permai Raya and Jalan Danau Sunter Barat.
In instant, there will be a limited road closure at three locations. They are the railway crossroad at Jalan Sunter Permai Raya-Jalan RE Martadinata, the intersection of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya-Jalan Bisma Raya, and the intersection of Jalan Danau Sunter Barat-Jalan Danau Sunter Utara.
The miniature closure at Jalan Bisma Raya-Jalan Sunter Permai Raya heading to the north is for general traffic, said the acting chief of the Jakarta Transportation Responsibility, Chaidir.
“Except for school shuttle bus that serves 5 parking lots throughout JIS that are located in Jalan Sunter Permai Raya area or residents,” he wrote in a statement on Saturday, July 23.
Chaidir explained that Jakarta Transportation Department would implement traffic engineering for vehicles leaving JIS heading to Jalan Sunter Permai Raya on Sunday, July 24, from 18:00-21:00 for the convenience of mobility and mild traffic flow.
Meanwhile, the traffic from the east of Jalan Bisma Raya heading to the south of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya would be redirected to the south of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya. The traffic from the south of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya heading to the north of Jalan Sunter Permai Raya would be redirected to turn radiant to Jalan Bisma Raya or take a u-turn to Jalan Sunter Permai Raya-Jalan Danau Sunter Utara.
In instant, there would be u-turn closures at the west-west and east-east of Jalan Danau Sunter Utara. Chaidir said officers would guard the locations. Only Transjakarta bus, school shuttle bus, residents near JIS, and VIP/ VVIP invitation guests are decided to pass the roads.
The Jakarta Transportation Department also set up 9 parking lots and prepared 50 free shuttle buses for republic aiming to attend the grand launching of the Jakarta International Stadium.
