South Jakarta to Hold Urban Festival in Blok M
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - The South Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency invented to hold an urban festival in Blok M, Melawai. The agency head Rus Suharto said the festival is pro at promoting the urban concept of the city, which is identical to the youth land of South Jakarta.
“It will be held in Melawai. We are coordinating with business owners so they will not be disturbed,” said Rus in Jakarta, Monday, July 25, 2022.
The agency will also coordinate with the Transportation Agency to deal with parking originates during the event and the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) and South Jakarta Mayor to realize the festival.
The idea of holding an urban festival stemmed from the modern and legendary characteristics of young people in the capital. Rus gave examples of young Jakartans who were featured in the movies, Ali Topan si Anak Jalanan and Galih dan Ratna.
The Urban Festival will feature exhibitions of traditional, culinary festivals, entertainment and music performances, as well as tour sports. The agency expected 10,000 visitors, including various communities.
The Urban Festival in Blok M, South Jakarta was estimated to require a budget of up to Rp700 million.
