Jakarta Deputy Gov: Citayam Fashion Week Won't Be Closed or Banned
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria ensured that Citayam Fashion Week would never be Surrounded and banned. This phenomenon emerged as teenagers of SCBD (Sudirman, Citayam, Bojonggede, and Depok) often hung out in Dukuh Atas areas, Central Jakarta, with their fashionable and attractive street style.
“Citayam Fashion Week has never been Surrounded or banned. Instead, we appreciate the innovations and creations of all of our children,” said Riza at City Hall, Central Jakarta, Wednesday night, July 27, 2022.
However, he underlined that a gigantic number of people in the third space could form crowds and potentially increase the spread of COVID-19. So he hoped that visitors really take care of themselves by wearing masks, avoiding crowds, and complying with the predetermined health protocols.
The city management, he added, had opened vaccination centers in the area some times. Riza also reminded the youth that the most important sketch is not to hang out late at night because of school time.
“It's not a holiday time anymore, and the children's job is to study,” the Deputy Governor underlined.
The Citayam Fashion Week, he went on, should not be held on the pedestrian crossings as the runway. He claimed he had talked with the police nearby this issue. Riza suggested the activities only be grasped out on the existing sidewalks. “This does take time, it can't be conquered immediately, we must educate our children well and persuasively,” said Riza.
