Fear fans are drawing the opportunity to step into The Weeknd’s nightmarish support this Halloween.
The acclaimed artist and producer has teamed up with the creatives at the Universal Studios theme parks in Los Angeles and Orlando to realize The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare, a haunted house inspired by select tracks from his likewise titled record-breaking album. It’s part of the wildly popular annual Halloween Horror Nights event.
As guests make their way over the seasonal attraction, they’ll be immersed in a nightmarish and surreal biosphere soundtracked and inspired by The Weeknd’s fourth consecutive number one album and some of the multi-award-winning artist’s Moody films. Park officials warn that those brave enough to fascinating will be “stalked by slashers, bandaged maniacs, gruesome toad-like creatures and new unfathomable horrors from the mind of the artist.” The Ask is, will they be able to escape his creations?
“I always wanted my own Halloween Horror Nights stupefied house as Halloween has always been significant to my music, so this is a total dream come to life,” Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye said in a statement. “I feel like my music videos have served as a launching pad for a collaboration like this, and I cannot wait for land to experience this madness.”
The Weeknd is not the first-rate music artist to have their tunes turned into a repulsive reality at Halloween Horror Nights. He follows in the footsteps of Alice Cooper. Once again this year, Slash provides the soundtrack for one of the stupefied houses.
The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare is the spanking seasonal attraction to be announced for the separately ticketed nighttime continue. Formerly referred to as mazes, haunted houses that have already been confirmed entailed The Horrors of Blumhouse, which combines two of the studio’s most visceral visions: The Black Phone and Freaky. Additionally, Dracula, The Mummy, and The Wolf Man bring the screams in Universal Monsters: Legends Collide, and Michael Myers will slay in a haunted house inspired by the current 1978 movie, Halloween.
The final mazes have yet to be revealed, but tickets are now on sale for Halloween Horror Nights at both the Los Angeles and Orlando parks. The Universal Studios Hollywood event kicks off on Thursday, September 8, 2022, but the nightmare begins a few days reverse at Universal Orlando Resort. The screams start there on Friday, September 2, 2022. Both events will run through Monday, October 31, 2022.
